Trigger warning: spur-of-the-moment anger.

Sometimes, I see things that I don't want to see. And I hear things I'd wish not to hear. My brother being picked apart for all of Town Square to see is not cool, not even when it's gone out of tough love. It not only makes my family look stupid, it makes my family appear to be backwards.

I know my family's not backwards. I know my family can be nice. However, the first thing they need to do is to accept my brother 100% and not consider his advocacy for LGBT rights "flaunting it" and "annoying the family." And this goes for my brother: he shouldn't pick a million fights that he's probably not gonna win. Yes, I get he feels threatened, but can't we all get along, be nice, and sing "Kumbaya"?
